Identification of Academically At-risk Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Students to Support Development of Strategies to Promote Academic Success

The purpose of this study was to identify academic factors, which may put the accelerated second-degree baccalaureate nursing (ABSN) student at risk of failure; develop strategies to promote academic success; and decrease student attrition. The data revealed that risk factors for nonprogression are often modifiable and targeted program completion strategies based on reasons for nonprogression decrease the rate of nonprogresson.
