Two Improvement Processes to Advance the Quality of Nursing Education Programs

In the United States there are two primary structures in place to ensure quality nursing education – state regulatory processes and nursing program accreditation. While both processes protect the public’s health and welfare and oversee the safe practice of nursing, the approach of each process is different, yet complementary. The presenter will explore the approach of each process and how each process contributes to improving the quality of nursing education, the profession of nursing, and the public’s health and welfare.
