Biography

Ms. Lisa Aymong is a Professor in Nursing at Suffolk County Community College, Selden, N.Y. She received an AAS degree from the State University of NY, Suffolk County Community College, a Bachelor of Science from St. Joseph’s College, a MPA from Long Island University, C.W.Post and a Master of Science degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook. Ms. Aymong has been a nurse educator for over twenty years. Additionally, she has worked as an Adult Health Practitioner in a variety of healthcare setting. Ms. Aymong is responsible for engaging faculty in a variety of assessments in order to monitor standard and criteria to meet program outcomes. She has represented the College during Middle States small team visits and is a peer evaluator for Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Ms. Aymong has presented on assessment practices locally, regionally and nationally. Her most presentation titled, “Systematic Assessment of Student Learning Outside of the Classroom: Clinical, Internship, Practicum, Capstone, and Field Work Settings” was presented at the fourth annual conference of the Assessment Network of New York.
