Dr. Marianne Craven has been with Utah Valley University (UVU) Department of Nursing since 1995. She has taught a variety of undergraduate nursing courses and currently teaches Curriculum Development and Nursing Informatics in the MSN program. She has served as the Program Evaluation Committee Chair and values program evaluation processes. She currently serves as the Nursing Department’s Graduate Program Coordinator.
Dr. Craven received her PhD in Nursing with a minor in nursing informatics from Indiana University, her MN from the University of Phoenix with management and education emphases, and her BSN from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Craven has served as President of Utah Nurses Association, and currently serves as President of the Utah Nurses Foundation. She has presented at local, regional, and national Nursing Education Conferences on teaching practices, nursing education, and faculty-student relationships. She did her dissertation research on how faculty work with underperforming students in clinical settings.
