Dr. Sally Cantwell is an Associate Professor at Weber State University’s School of Nursing in Ogden, Utah. She is currently serving as Associate Chair and Associate Program Director. She specializes in curriculum development and evaluation and has had an active role in a program change to a concept-based curriculum. Dr. Cantwell has served for six years on University’s Curriculum Committee and two of them as chair. She has presented on topics focused on outcome alignment, concept-based teaching, strokes, and successful prioritization.
Dr. Cantwell received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Utah and her doctorate in philosophy in Higher Education Leadership from Northcentral University. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Nu Nu Chapter and is presently serving as faculty mentor for this Nursing Honor Society. Dr. Cantwell currently serves as a Program Evaluator for the Accreditation Commission of Nursing Education. Her research and academia interests include faculty mentoring, program evaluations, curriculum design, faculty peer review, and simulation education.
